About Me

Rong Fu is a Toronto based actor and writer working in television, film, and theatre.

Rong started acting at age of twelve when she joined the drama club in middle school. What was initially a hobby, mixed with a crush on a boy, and a desire to keep learning, Rong went boldly forward to pursue classical training as an actor. She is a graduate from the Claude Watson Arts Program and York University's Acting Conservatory. Her work has been seen at some Canada's premiere theatre companies, such as the Shaw Festival and Soulpepper, and on major networks like CBS, ABC, NBC, CW, and SyFy.

As a writer, her short film May Flowers premiered on CBC Gem: Canadian Reflections in 2020. Currently in development, Rong is part of the writing team on The Next BIG Thing (Day by Day Pictures), a musical anthology feature following five artists whose lives are changed forever when they unknowingly intersect.

On any given day when Rong is not working, you can find her on the couch slurping ramen and watching anime. And just like iPhones, Rong was made in China.*
